I ❤ Sony
So having just sold a much older blu ray player for $60, I replaced it with the Sony BDP-S590 bought for $105 (yay Amazon!) and am rather blown away by it!
Suddenly I have 3 months free subscription to Hulu Plus and my baby girl is now watching something OTHER than Brother Bear on repeat.
Which also cut out the need to get Apple TV might I add.
AND it plays DVDs as well as blu ray 3D….so it really is a nifty little machine that does it all!
Except making tea but we can work on that.
Happy happy!
Chille the Chinchilla is lucky…
…he was collected by his mother and gone when I discovered his secret midnight scrapings! The little (but unfortunately cute) rat chewed away at the door frame unbeknownst to us! And only when the cage was gone from his spot did I discover the damage.
Sigh…time to dig out the filler and white paint. Hopefully David won’t notice before we get our rent deposit back.
He’s a bigger rat.

Day 3: The hunt for cheap(er) veg leads us to Koreatown..
A planned trip to Trader Joe’s turns into a quest for cheaper vegetables in Koreatown today…and we find the magical and very Korean market eventually. Once walking along the mall, we suddenly feel like we’re back in Asia - kinda feels nice and very familiar but also very far away from home. Home away from home I guess.
We found the supermarket downstairs and get a trolley-load of various things - squash, shiitake mushrooms, cucumbers, apples, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, OMG lots of carrots…and Shoobie Doo found fish sauce.
FISH SAUCE!!!
Good lord, this makes me wanna boil some rice now and eat myself into a fatter arse and a bigger waistline.
Baby Doo sending some of her mojo to the Broncos!
Day 1: Here goes! Hopefully, 30lbs will go too.
So the boy asks me earlier today, why don’t I sign up to tumblr.
Immediate thoughts were, well, I’d blogged before, a year or so went by, I then revisited said blog and was pretty aghast at what I’d written and how…and wondered why.
Well it felt good at the time.
So, fast forward a few hours into the evening and I have an epiphany whilst talking to a friend (KG) on Facebook. We decided that it was time to buddy up and lose some extra squeezable pounds. It’s only 13 days into the new year of 2012, so there’s time to make it all count. No more saying, time to start doing.
An hour and $56.xx later, I signed up to WeightWatchers Online for their 3-month subscription. Weigh day is Mondays and check-in with KG is at 8pm.
So there I have it. A good reason to start blogging by tracking my weight loss from start to finish - and maaaaybe beyond.
I look over at Bobo…she’ll be 21 weeks this Sunday (15 January) and in about a month, I’ll be supplementing her booby milk meals with pasty “solids”…so now is a good time to get into grips with WW and start drinking that pungent tea to er, help keep the milk flowing for her.
So.
No more sugar. No more whole milk. No more half and half with coffee. Hell, no more coffee. No more big, f*ck-off sized steaks. Maybe a potato every now and then.
Hello, low-fat. Nice to see you again.
Goal is to lose 30lbs. If I average 5lbs a month, then I’m back to being a skinny bint by my birthday in June. It would be lovely to be in my old jeans again.
Bring it!
